First Four Analysis

Throughout the week, I will be posting my thoughts on each region and the games within them along with predictions for each matchup. This section is for the First Four (Tuesday and Wednesday only), but you can expect the rest to come prior to Thursday.

Also, with the college basketball season coming to an end, I would love to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see next. I am planning on doing work with the NBA Draft and Fantasy Football once these start to get more popular. However, in the meantime, what would you like to see? Either tweet at me @hardwiredsports or comment your thoughts below.

In the section below, I have capitalized my picks. Click read more to see my analysis for every game. All times eastern.

Tuesday, March 15th

11 Vanderbilt vs. 11 WICHITA STATE, 9:10pm on TruTV – Vanderbilt brings Damian Jones to the table, but the Shockers have one of the best backcourts in the country and if they start playing like it, Wichita State can not only win this game, but maybe a couple more. (9:10pm ET)

16 FLORIDA GULF COAST vs. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson, 6:40pm on TruTV – Will we get Dunk City Part 2? Well, no, but the Eagles look to have enough firepower to conquer the Knights. North Carolina, however, that’ll be an entirely different challenge.

Wednesday, March 16th

11 Michigan vs. 11 TULSA, 9:10pm on TruTV – Both of these teams have shown the ability to play outstanding basketball, but in this one, the veteran presence on the Golden Hurricanes will prevail. Watch for James Woodard’s three point shooting to be a difference maker.

16 Holy Cross vs. 16 SOUTHERN, 6:40pm on TruTV – Holy Cross has shown no real signs of winning games against qualities opponents and this should be no different. I expect Southern to run away with this game and move on to face Oregon.

And that’s all I have for now, so this is me…signing off. -Lukas.
